“Bharat is my home” Bharat is my home is an extract and a beautiful prose which has been written by Dr. Zakir Hussain. He was a great and famous writer of English literature.
In this speech he pledges himself to be loyal to the nation and work for its welfare. He says that they had placed in him to elect the head of nation. He takes oath to the people of our nation to help of them. According to him past is not still and dead. It is active and gives place to the determine of quality at present. He says that education is the main equipment of national purpose He pledges himself to the loyalty of our past culture to the service of the nation’s culture. He pledges himself to work for strength, progress and welfare of the nation with discrimination. He says that the work as two major aspects. Work on one’s self and work for society.
So this is a beautiful prose.

“I Have a Dream”
This is a beautiful prose named I have dream which has been delivered by Martin Luther king Jr. This speech was delivered on the steps of Lincoln memorial in Washington. He was a great and famous orator of English literature.
In this prose the poet says that the Negro is still sadly and crippled by the manacles of segregation and chains of discrimination. He says that it would be fatal for the nation to overlook and underestimate the determination of Negro. He says that the momentous decree came to the Negros as a light of hope. We must struggle on the high plane of dignity and discipline. He says that we cannot walk alone. The poet says that one day will come where little black boys and black girls will be able to join hands with little white boys and white girls. They will walk together assisters and brothers.
So, this is a beautiful prose.

“Song of Myself”
This is a nice poem named ‘Song of Myself which has been written by Walt Whitman. He was a great and famous writer of English literature. He was called a people’s poet. RAN
In this nice poem, Walt Whitman tells us about himself. He enjoys himself and sings for his self. He is not different from others. He says that every atom of his blood belongs to his soul. He accepts everything that is right and asks all to accept the truth. He invites his soul. He bears the pain that is given by the spike of grass. He says that everyone comes in the world one by one. According to him life is not a bed of roses but it is a blend of hardship and happiness. Life is the best gift of God. He says that many fights for religion but is not good. He believes the betterment of the world.

“Now the leaves are falling fast”
This is a nice poem named ‘Now the leaves are falling fast’ which has been written by W.H Auden. This is a nature poem. He was a great and famous writer of English literature.
In this poem the poet says that the leaves are falling fast. They leave their branches. They refer to the speedly arrival of old age and death with the Autumn season. Trees have become leafless. They are covered with snow look very beautiful. He says that we became physically weak and inactive. This sight has become lovely. The bird Nightingale has stopped singing. Hands have frozen. In this poem, the poet says that the whispering neighbours left and right who pluck us form the real delight.

“My grandmother’s house”
This is a nice poem named ‘My grandmother’s House which has been written by Kamla Das. She was a great and famous poetess of English literature.
In this poem she describes her childhood. The house was very beautiful and comfortable. The writer and her grandmother lived there happily. In course of time, the grandmother died. She left that house and went to live in another house after the death of her grandmother. After sometime she went there to see the house. But became sad to see the pitiable condition of the house. Bushes grown around and snakes moved. Everything was changed. Still she remembers that house where she got more love and was proud.
So, this is a nice poem
